My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sky is a Courtesy Listing and is not housed at the Animal Shelter. Please note that the City of Bloomington Animal Care & Control accepts no responsibility for this pet. Potential adopters are responsible for communicating directly with the pet's guardian.
Sky is a German shepherd/Great Dane mix. She is an indoor/outdoor pet. Sky would love nothing more than to be someone's baby. She loves to cuddle. She is very shy and nervous when meeting new people but very loving. She loves children. She loves to jump fences, so either at least a 6ft fence needed or being taken outside on a leash. She is good with cats but can be a little excited around them. Loves to play with other dogs once she has the chance to get to know them. She is crate trained. Eats when released. E-coller trained. She knows how to sit and stay and come when called.

Additional adoption info

Please come in and visit with our pets available for adoption. Once you find an animal you would like to adopt, you will be asked to fill out an adoption survey and meet with an adoption counselor. We do require landlord approval and we do not adopt out animals to live completely outside. Our adoption fees are $75 for dogs and cats under 5 years old and $55 for those 5 years and older.

The shelter has very active volunteer and foster programs. Volunteers walk dogs and help with cat care. Fosters take young, shy and injured animals into their homes to prepare them for adoption. Learn more on our website and consider getting involved today!
