My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi my name Dahlia! I was recused with my two kittens, one of them is Rexx, by a nice woman who got us into the care of Smittens. I can be a little shy and take some time to get settled in, but I will warm up to you. I am a sweet cat who loves to sit by the windows to watch birds outside. I go crazy for cat TV and can watch birds, fish, and squirrels for hours! I love head, chin, and cheek scratches, belly rubs, and grooming my son, Rexx. Rexx and I are a bonded pair (there are lots of pictures of us together) who love snuggling with each other. When we’re not napping or giving each other baths, you’ll find us play fighting and zooming throughout the house! I can’t to find my fur-ever home!

More about this rescue

Smittens isn’t just another cat rescue.
We are a coalition of volunteers with a spay/neuter mission, dedicated to helping both stray and owned animals in the greater San Diego area get fixed, receive veterinary care, and whatever else they may need! Smittens works with shelters and other rescues to route cats to proper vet care and eventual homes, and we take in stray cats who need help getting off the street. We also support TNR for feral cats, and assist cat and dog owners to get their own pets fixed and vaccinated at a low cost.
