My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! I’m Hunny, a 5-month-old Goldendoodle with a super fluffy coat and an even fluffier heart!

I’m still learning about this big world, but I’m eager to find a special family or person who can help me build my confidence. I’d love someone who can spend lots of time with me, giving me the encouragement I need to feel safe and secure. I’m working on overcoming some separation anxiety, so I can get a bit noisy when left alone. A quieter home would be the perfect place for me to settle in and feel comfortable as loud noises make me a bit nervous. Car rides also make me pretty queasy, but my vet has given me some medication to help with that. Still, I’d like to spend more time at home than away.

Despite my puppy quirks, I’m the sweetest, biggest love-bug you’ll ever meet! I love being close to my person—I'm a huge “momma’s girl” — but I’m always sure to spread my love to everyone around me. I’m great with other dogs and enjoy playing with kids. Even though I’m still young, I do a great job letting my foster mom know when I need to go potty, and I don’t chew on things I shouldn’t as long as I have a lot of my own toys to play with. Sometimes I forget to keep my mouth closed while playing, but I never bite — just be ready for lots of kisses!

I absolutely love playing outside in the yard, and I definitely prefer it over going on walks. I feel most at ease in my fenced backyard, where I can chase sticks, sunbathe in a warm spot, chew on the grass, and run around with my human(s) and neighbor dogs. Slowly but surely, I’m building up my leash confidence, too!

I would like to live in a home with another friendly and social dog. I have found a lot of confidence while spending time with other dogs and I think I would do best with a brother/sister who can help me keep learning about the big world.

If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who will bring joy, laughter, and plenty of cuddles into your life, I’m your girl. I can’t wait to find a forever family/person who will help me grow and thrive. Let’s start our journey together!
