My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ADOPTION PENDING

ABOUT: REMIE's former owner did a DNA on him. The DNA stated that he is 51% French Bulldog and 15% Poodle, the other 34% is ???>>>"dog". When we find the right home match for him, there is no adoption fee for this boy. However, we would appreciate a donation so we can continue helping other homeless dogs.

ORIGIN: Originally, Remie came into Rorescue as a 7 month old puppy in January 2022. A homeless person surrendered him to us. At that time he was about 15 lbs. He has a short tail. My vet said he was born that way, so I guessed him to be a pug/poodle predicting he would max out at 25 lbs as an adult. My guess was close, but the Frenchie took the place of the pug.

This month, Remie came back to RoRescue, thru no fault of his own, because the owners have decided to move into a retirement facility and could not take him with.

HEALTH: REMIE's former owner took very good care of him. He is in good health, UTD on all his shots, tick fever/heartworm negative and housetrained.

REMI's PERSONALITY: Remie's owner took him to puppy classes (but mostly he forgets his training) He likes to play with his toys, walks well on a leash and gets along well with other dogs, as long as they are properly introduced. He even likes cats and tried to get them to play with him. He is crate trained and sleeps in his kennel at night next to his person. He only barks when the doorbell rings, then heads to his kennel for a treat.

RORESCUE NOTES: REMIE is a gem and he would make a wonderful companion for the person who appreciates him.

FYI, there is NO public funding that helps Rescue Groups with veterinary expenses. We use our own vets and we pay them thru adoption fees and donations. Lately, veterinary fees have escalated, making it harder and harder to offer affordable adoption fees, but we try. Please be considerate when deciding to adopt a "Rescue dog".

ALL RORESCUE DOGS are vet checked, spayed/neutered, dental cleaning (if needed), microchipped and UTD on shots.

NOT DONE: Full blood panel/Valley Fever/Tick Fever/Heartworm testing is NOT customarily done, unless veterinary suggested

RoRescue adopts their dogs as INDOOR pets, with sufficient supervised outdoor exercise time.

RoRescue requires a secure yard and safe environment for this dog.

We do NOT adopt to out-of area or out of state locations.
