My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We rescued Andy in 2017. He's sweet and a bit anxious, always wanting to be by your side. He isn't big on playing, but he loves to cuddle or sleep at your feet. He has lived with cats and kids: Curious about the cats, which was usually more of a problem for the cats than for Andy, who just wanted to see what they were up to. He is extremely tolerant of our 3 year old daughter, and loves lingering under the table for any scraps that might drop. Like many small dogs, he has developed a persistent cough due to a collapsing trachea, and an enlarged heart and a heart murmur, which may also be contributing to his cough. Our vet has assured us he is not in pain, his conditions are being managed by medication. We have a baby on the way, and are concerned that the unpredictable duration, time of day, and intensity of the coughing will be at risk of waking the newborn. We want Andy to be with a family that can continue to manage his condition while not needing such a quiet environment.
