My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Lando! This sweet boy came to us after being used as a breeding dog in a puppy mill. He is 3 years old and weighs 12 pounds! Please read his highlights below!

âï¸Lando needs other dogs in the home! While he hasn’t been cat tested, we do not foresee any issues!

âï¸Lando needs a home with a physical fenced in yard.

âï¸Lando needs a person with patience. People are still not his favorite. He gets better with time but he needs to feel safe!

âï¸Lando needs work on a leash still. He will walk in a leash but won’t use the bathroom on a leash.

âï¸Lando needs to live in a home and not an apartment.

âï¸Lando needs consistency. If you stay consistent and on a schedule Lando does best. He likes his schedule and it does a little better for his potty training.

This pup is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative! He will need continued work with potty training and socialization, but once he warms up he’s such a sweet guy! If you have the love in your heart and patience in your home to help Lando forget his passed in the puppy mill, please visit out website and complete an application: https://www.prodogsohio.org/adoptables

*Please read our puppy mill dog adoption policies before applying!*

His adoption fee is $350

Go meet their pets

We have monthly events at local pet stores in Columbus and Dayton, and can arrange private meet-and-greets with individual fosters, as needed. Please submit an application to adopt in order to be contacted by one of our adoption coordinators, if you would like to meet one of our dogs.

More about this rescue

Purebred Rescue Organization of Ohio has been rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming companion animals for over twenty years. What started as a small foster-based rescue in Dayton, focused on purebred puppy mill releases and owner surrenders, has grown into a multi-city effort, and now includes the PUPP Prison Dog Training Program and partnerships with shelters across the State of Ohio to help save hundreds of dogs each year. Contrary to our name, we rescue dogs of all breeds, mixes, shapes, and sizes! We provide standard vetting for them while they are in our care - all of our dogs are fixed, heartworm tested, vaccinated, and microchipped before they are placed in adoptive homes.
