My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Henry Clay: A Handsome, Lovable Brittany Mix Looking for His Forever Home

Hello, I'm Henry Clay, a 4-year-old, 44 lb red and white Brittany mix with a heart full of love to give! I was lucky enough to become a NBRAN Brittany wanna-be, and they've promised to find me a wonderful, loving home. I’ve got a unique mix of Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever and Brittany in my lineage, making me as charming and lovable as they come.

Why I’m the Perfect Addition to Your Family:

  • Healthy and Ready: I’m up-to-date on all my vaccines, heartworm and tick negative, and on prevention. I had surgery for cherry eye, as you can see my eye looks perfect now!
  • Playful and Social: Even though I've been in boarding, I’ve had plenty of fun playing with other dogs, splashing in the water, and enjoying my toys. I’ve been spoiled, but now I’m ready for my very own family to love me.
  • Lovable Companion: I promise to be just as lovable as any purebred Brittany. I’m a friendly, affectionate boy who just wants to be part of a family.

My Dream Family:

I’m looking for a patient and loving family who understands that I may need a little time to adjust to home life after being in boarding. But don’t worry—I’m eager to learn and will quickly become your best friend.

Will you be the family to say, "That's my baby boy"? I’m ready to meet you and start our new adventure together!

More about this rescue

National Brittany Rescue & Adoption Network (NBRAN) is an alliance of dedicated Brittany rescue volunteers who share a deep love for the breed and who will work to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home Brittanys in need, whether abandoned, lost, stray or surrendered to rescue for placement. As volunteers united in a common cause, we are committed to the care of these dogs in foster homes, and providing for their physical and emotional needs. We are committed in our endeavor to help them with all the resources we have available.

We pledge to maintain a community of volunteers who treat each other, and the dogs they rescue, with respect, courtesy, kindness and love. We will seek always to lend encouragement and to support one another, and to facilitate friendly collaboration and cooperation between our volunteers. We believe that by building a supportive, dog-centered organization founded on respect, honesty and integrity, we will always remain focused on the welfare of the Brittanys entrusted to our care and hold their interests uppermost in our hearts and minds. Our mission is to place these dogs in safe, loving and permanent homes with approved applicants, and to provide a supportive network for our volunteers, who after all, make our goals possible.
