My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Hello, they call me Loretta and I am a such a pretty girl.  They think I’m about 2 years old but we aren’t sure as when I was lost and found, I didn’t have any papers with me. I am calmer than most boxers and I walk well on a leash.  Sometimes men make me a little nervous but once trust is established, I am your girl.  I am fine with other dogs and have not been cat tested.  I’m overall a great pup. If you have some boxer experience or want to welcome me into your home, please submit your application.  I think we’d be great together. Applications can be found on our website at www.onedogatatime.us
Thank you for considering adoption through ODAAT. Our dedication to our animals goes beyond finding them a home; we aim to match them with families where they will thrive and receive the love and care that they so desperately deserve.  We believe in finding not just homes, but forever families for our beloved animals.
Our thorough adoption process is designed to ensure that each furry friend finds the perfect match based on their unique needs and personalities. Please know that we do not rush this process, as we prioritize compatibility over speed.
Your patience and understanding as we work towards finding the ideal match for both our rescues and your family means the world to us. Our applications can be found at www.onedogatatime.us

Additional adoption info

The goal of ODAAT is to place our companion animals in lifetime, loving homes. Every home and every companion animal has it 's own unique personality and requirements. We place our animals in the supportive and loving environment of home foster care. While there, we gain knowledge about their personality, training skills, likes and dislikes.

To assist us with matching the correct companion animal with the most appropriate and compatible home, please fill out our adoption application questions as completely and correctly as possible and any other information you think would be helpful. The application will be followed-up by an ODAAT Adoption Coordinator, with a phone interview and then a home check.

Adoption contract and post-adoption follow-up checks are required as a condition of adoption. Some companion animals get multiple applicants or are not appropriate matches, so not all adoptions will be approved. Not all applicants will receive a yes or no response due to limited staff. We reserve the right to refuse any adoption without justification.
Our Adoption Costs vary but below is a guideline:
Dogs: $400-$300
Puppies:$450
Cats: $75
Kittens: $100

Why the high cost? Can't I adopt an animal for less? No.. and here's why: Our animals come to you fully vetted. It costs us less for medical care than you do to non-profit discount. So if you adopt an animal for less it will cost you more later. Spay & Neutering your animals, along with keeping up on shots prevents disease & illnesses.

Go meet their pets

We are an all foster-based rescue. Once a potential adopter submits an application they will receive a "Welcome email". This email requests certain steps be done in order for our volunteers to run the application. We do not process applications that do not return the requested information as we are extremely busy. We are very serious about the placement of our animals and want to make sure that the home is both perfect for the animal and perfect for the adoptive family.
