My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you're looking for a canine best friend who's always up for an adventure, but also loves to snuggle at the end of the day, Valentine is your girl! This energetic and affectionate pup is a true outdoor enthusiast-whether it's hiking, running (she's SO fast!), or playing with other dogs, Valentine is always ready for action. She also enjoys chewing on her favorite toys or bones during downtime, making her the perfect balance of active and relaxed.

Valentine has a fun and quirky side, too-she's a little cautious around street storm drains during neighborhood walks, which, if you've read Stephen King's It, you'll appreciate as very smart behavior! True to her loyal nature, Valentine loves being close to her humans. Whether you're sipping your morning coffee or showering, she'll happily stay by your side-laying at your feet or waiting outside the bathroom door.

Valentine is eager to please and has made excellent progress in her training since joining her foster home. She has great recall, is house trained, and can be left alone for a few hours as long as there's nothing tempting on the counters! Highly food motivated, Valentine is improving on loose leash walking and is excited to continue learning. She's good with kids and other dogs, though she is waiting for a cat to volunteer to test out how she'd do with them! Valentine is still getting comfortable around new people, but with a little time and lots of treats, she quickly warms up and becomes a loving, loyal companion.

If you're looking for an active, affectionate, and highly trainable pup, Valentine is ready to join your family!
