Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Mitchell! Mitchell came to us scared and shut down from a rural shelter. He is still skeptical of the world and his surroundings, but is learning that people can be his friends! It is important that he is leashed or in a securely fenced yard at all times, as he can be skittish. He is gentle and loving but needs some extra TLC. He will take time to gain trust. Mitchell would do best in a home with no kids, since he needs a family to go slowly and be patient with him. He would benefit from living with another confident dog to show him the ropes, and has yet to meet a dog he didn't do well with. Mitchell tends to have a harder time warming up to men, and would love a women-only household.
He is dog friendly, walks well on a leash, and has been uninterested in cats inside the house.
Mitchell is currently in a foster home with other dogs and would be happy to go to a home with another canine companion.
