Meet Fawn! Fawn came to the SCSPCA with several of her friends. They grew up in a ‘hoarding situation’, meaning they were living in a less than desirable situation with several other animals. Because of this, they haven’t quite mastered many of the skills and behaviors that one would expect from ‘normal dogs’. We certainly hope that these guys go on to live well-adjusted lives and thrive in their adoptive homes, but there are a few extra things adopters need to consider when it comes to adopting one of these very special miracle dogs!
Fawn has been hanging out in a foster home, here is what they have to say about her: `Fawn is a delightful dog. She is at the perfect age, past the puppy phase but young enough to still be goofy and play. She is a very low maintenance dog. She is happy to go for a nice stroll and then nap next to you. She gets along great with other dogs. She did great meeting our family on Christmas and seemed to really enjoy getting to know new people (especially if they came with treats). She is very treat motivated which makes training her much easier. She is a quick learner in terms of what is and is not allowed in our home. She has a wonderful personality, full of love and goofiness. She would be a terrific addition to any home.`
If you would like to hear more about them, please call or stop by the shelter during our Browsing Hours: Wed-Sun 11-5.
