Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Tilly is an adorable 3-year old female Terrier mix who was brought to the HSOV on August 20, 2024 after she was picked up by the Washington County Ohio Dog Warden on Johnson Road (off SR550 in the Marietta Ohio area). Tilly was accompanied by another female Terrier mix (Piper) who is surely her sibling. Neither of the girls were wearing a collar, and they were not microchipped.
Tilly has a black short smooth coat with a small patch of white on her chest, a rather long body, short legs, and a long tail. She has a cute face with hopeful innocent dark brown eyes, a white stripe on her slender muzzle, and large 'folded-over' ears.
Tilly and her sister Piper have very friendly dispositions and are quite playful. They are very attached to each other. Based upon their appearance, they are most likely siblings and might possibly have some Dachshund ancestors in their family background.
Tilly weighs 17.6 lbs.
We had taken preliminary photos of Tilly and Piper on August 20th, 2024 shortly after the girls were brought to our shelter. They were initially held for safe-keeping but were later ok'd for posting/adoption.
In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Tilly and Piper were held for the mandatory three-day stray hold so that their family would have an opportunity to reclaim them with proof of ownership ... But nobody called or came looking for them.
These updated photos of Tilly were taken on September 3, 2024. Tilly and Piper never want to be separated from each other, so two of our amazing HSOV Kennel Techs teamed up to take the girls out together for their new glamour pictures. Kennel Tech Emily Beaver spent time with Tilly while Kennel Tech Cadince Bibbee waited nearby with Piper.
Tilly and Piper are two of the happiest dogs in our shelter (which speaks volumes) ... They would dearly love to find a home together.
