Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Jack came into the shelter July 21st with his brother Captain after they were both removed from a home due to neglect. We were not sure how the pair would do here at the shelter after going through so much but, with some time, these boys are truly flourishing! Jack has done really well in playgroups. He is very comfortable with other dogs. While he is not as wild and crazy with the other dogs, he sure seems to have more confidence when he has a dog buddy. He likes to take things slow when meeting new people, but he cannot say no to a treat! Jack seems to have had no experience with a leash but with just a few weeks of practice, he looks forward to getting into the yard, so he welcomes the leash. He is still practicing. Jack is going to need some basic training, he will need some basic potty training and obedience guidance but, he is very treat motivated! One of our staff said that their favorite characteristic of Jack is that if you sit on the ground with him, he will come and curl up with you on your lap. This guy is ready for a new start in life, come meet Jack at the Alpine Animal Services Shelter, 2900 Old Marathon Hwy Alpine, TX 79830.
