Lisa is a Biewer Terrier from a breeding facility. She's a sweet and affectionate dog in search of a tranquil home with a companion who is often present. She is sensitive to loud noises and quick movements, and the barking of other dogs can frighten her. She's learning to walk on a leash and to go potty outside. While she does use potty pads also, she occasionally misses them.
She enjoys sleeping in bed with her human and likes to follow them around. She loves to cuddle with her owner and be carried around. She would thrive in a home with another small dog that could guide her through the nuances of canine life and help her overcome her fears.
When frightened, Lisa retreats to her safe spot. If she seeks attention, she'll gently paw at you, asking to be lifted for some tender kisses. She's experiencing some separation anxiety as she adjusts to her new environment and the array of unfamiliar sounds.
Patience and time will be essential as she learns to embrace her life as a beloved pet. Kids would probably be a bit much for Lisa.

Our adoption process involves completing a one-page adoption application. Applications are processed within 48 hours.
Adoption fees for cats/kittens are $130.00. All cats/kittens have been wormed, altered, tested for feline leukemia, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.
Adoption fees for dogs/puppies are $300.00 All dogs/puppies have been wormed, altered, tested for heart worm, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.
We also offer our Senior for Senior program matching senior animals to people over the age of 63. Adoption fees are waived for this program.

Camp Companion is dedicated to providing low-cost spay and neuter services for feral, farm and stray companion animals. The organization is funded solely by donations, fundraisers, grants, and adoption fees. All funds we receive are used for veterinary expenses and the cost of care incurred for the animals waiting for their forever homes.
Through our spay / neuter efforts, we encounter kittens and stray domestic cats that need rescue services and a forever home. We have no shelter, but rely on foster homes to care for these rescued pets. Every animal we offer for adoption is spayed or neutered.
