ADOPTION PENDING - And here's HOPE! Hope is looking for her forever home as a pasture pet/companion. She is a very sweet mare in her late teens but can be reserved at times. She does enjoy grooming and taking walks. Apparently Hope may have been used as a breeding mare as she can be touchy with her back legs. HOPE was taken in an Ag investigation impoundment. She was kept in a very small pen, mud up to her knees in freezing weather. Hope had been adopted previously but came back to SHARE due to life changes with her adopter. Hope is NOT RIDEABLE - she has had training off and on for 3 years without success. She halters easily, doesn't bite, picks up all four feet for the farrier with some encouragement. Hope is a very easy keeper too!
Hope's adoption fee is $800.

2. Prefer that you own the property where the horse will be kept; however we frequently adopt horses out to people who board.
3. Must provide a letter of recommendation from your veterinarian and one from your farrier if you are now a horse owner. If you do not have a farrier, a letter from another person will suffice.
4. You must visit the horse to see if you are a match with the particular horse you wish to adopt.
5. We will visit your facility to see the facility and your animals.
6. If you continue with the adoption, you will be required to pay an adoption fee which is set by the board of directors for each animal. We will continue to inspect the animal for two years.
7. If at any time the animal is not being properly cared for SHARE has the right to seize the animal.
8. You are NEVER allowed to sell the animal to slaughter. We ALWAYS have first right of refusal if you decide not to keep the animal.
9. You must keep the animal for at least two years or it reverts to SHARE.
