This super sweet guy would like to be your everything! Molasses was a stray puppy in an overcrowded NM shelter. He and his sister were put on “the list” only due to space. He’s now in CO hoping to find a forever home where he can feel safe and loved forever. We believe he’s a Border Collie mixed with Spaniel. He is approximately 6 mos old, 32#, neutered, utd on vaccs, chipped, and HW-. He is learning to walk on a leash, loves to be with you, and gets along with other dogs. He is potty trained when let out often and does have access to outside via a doggie door, and crate trained. He’ll need continued training in a new home with a new environment. He is used to someone being home during the day. Molasses has shown a little resource guarding behavior with food with other dogs so he will need to be fed separately and monitored so his behavior continues to improve. He is fine with treats and toys. Molasses requires a fenced in yard and a semi active human who is committed to giving him the mental and physical exercise a young herding breed requires. We have not tested him with kids so recommend older kids 10+. Molasses will chase cats. If you are interested in meeting Molasses the first step is to complete our meet and greet application at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with everyone in the home. Molasses’ adoption fee is $425 and we do not adopt outside of Colorado.
