Lacey (fka Mocha) was a stray puppy in an overcrowded NM shelter. She and her brother were put on “the list” only due to space. She’s now in CO hoping to a forever home where she can feel safe and loved forever. We believe she’s a Border Collie mixed with Spaniel. She is approximately 6 mos old, 25#, spayed, utd on vaccs, chipped, and HW-. She is learning to walk on a leash, loves to be near and cuddle with her person, and gets along with other dogs. Lacey is still working on potty training. She does best when let out often. She’ll need continued training in a new home with a new environment. She is used to someone being home during the day. Lacey requires a fenced in yard and a semi active human who is committed to providing the mental and physical exercise a young herding breed requires. We have not tested her with kids so recommend older kids 10+. Lacey will chase cats but is very treat motivated and willing to please. If you are interested in meeting Lacey the first step is to complete our meet and greet application at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with everyone in the home. Lacey’s’ adoption fee is $425 and we do not adopt outside of Colorado.
