My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

To adopt please fill out an adoption application.

Bacchus is a 6mo male German Shepherd Dog mix who was abandoned at a schoolyard in Memphis.   Bacchus lives in the house with his foster family where he's lovingly cared for while awaiting his forever home. Well-socialized, friendly, calm personality, typical GSD temperament. Very confident and never meets a stranger. Growing up around kids and other dogs. LOVES OTHER DOGS! There’s several cats in his foster home but Bacchus is a little too playful with them and sometimes like to chase them, so probably not recommended for cats. Crate trained and housebroken. Medium activity outside, quiet and well-mannered in the house. Good on the leash, rides great in the car. Estimated DOB 3-1-24.  About 45#, healthy, altered and utd on shots. This is an AWESOME young GSD mix who will make a great companion (and jogging partner!) for an active family who loves the breed..

Go meet their pets

All our Good Dogs are in southern foster homes.

More about this rescue

Good Dog Rescue is an all-breed rescue group headquartered in the South. Our group is comprised of volunteers all over the Southeast who love dogs and want to help those that end up homeless through no fault of their own. Loyal and loving dogs turn up every day in Southern shelters, as owners turn them in or they’re found roaming the streets after being dumped. To the best of our abilities, we evaluate all of our Good Dogs’ temperament and suitability for living with other dogs, cats, and children. A dog’s health is checked, and we make sure they are up-to-date on all shots and are spayed or neutered. Then, we place them in loving foster homes until they find their very own family. Our goal is to meet the needs of each dog as an individual and to assure proper placement in a loving forever home.
