My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Little Praline has spent her time in foster getting longer and lankier, yet staying small. She has learned how to not annoy the cat (as much) and she was went from her chasing the chickens in the backyard to the chickens now chasing her Praline may still be nervy of the world some days, but she has no fear with her dog friends, and will give the biggest of them a run for their money.
Praline is equally as sassy and spunky as she is cuddley and sweet. She has used her wonderful personality to convince foster parents she really doesn’t need to be crated right? And maybe can also sleep on the bed right?? And don’t be too mad about the curtains I nibbled on because look how snuggley I’m being yess?? We love a girl who knows how to use her charm!
Praline is six months old and about 30lbs. She melts hearts everywhere she goes, and we are truly shocked she hasn’t melted the heart of her forever family yet. We are looking for an adopter for her that already has another dog in the home, as her confidence skyrockets with another pup around to guide her. Praline is cat, dog, kid and even chicken friendly, even if she is a little bit of a tyrant with some of them, but what are little sisters for? And besides she is jus a babay.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

When you adopt a dog from Swamp Haven, you’re not just saving a life. You’re beginning a journey filled with love, loyalty and trust. Life can be busy and stressful. The companionship of a dog is a constant reminder to slow down and enjoy the little things. At Swamp Haven, our mission isn’t to just help down-on-their-luck dogs find their forever homes. Our mission is to create a lasting relationship with you and your family.
Adopt happiness. Our adoption process is unique in that we work with you every step of the way to ensure that we’re placing the right dog with the right family. First, chat with us about what you’re looking for in a dog and we will set up a time for you to meet the lucky pup. From there, fill out an application. Once reviewed we set up a time to bring your potential pup to your house for a home visit and trial week. We want to make sure it’s the right fit for both your family and the dog involved. We will be totally available during the trial week for any questions or concerns. The last step is to finalize the adoption. And then congrats, you’re a new member of the Swamp Haven family and your happy tail has just begun!

Our adoption fee is $350

More about this rescue

Swamp Haven is an animal rescue organization that takes down-on-their-luck dogs and nurtures them back to a healthy mental and physical state, so they can find their forever home. Our goal is simple. We save innocent dogs that have been overlooked by society and provide short-term care including vetting (vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip and heartworm and flea prevention) and training to learn how to walk politely on a leash, play in a pack and live calmly and lovingly in their new home.
