Little Miss Praline has come so far since she caught a flight with her brother to get to us.

She was a scared, shut down, mangey, dehydrated little creature when she was found, but even in her most scared moments she would always let her guard down for two things - Food and other dogs. (Sounds like me

)

While the world is still a little scary, and people are still a little scary, dogs, food, toys are WHERE IT’S AT.

Don’t let her shyness full you though. Praline is a spicy little girl full of silly antics and pizazz. She is the destroyer of toys, sass-er of cats and chaser of chickens.

She loves a good snuggle sesh and just when you begin to think she is oh so innocent, she is back at her shenanigans.

Praline is crate trained and mostly house trained. She is around 5 months old and 26lbs. While she will grow more, our guess is she will stay on the smaller side. We are looking for a home for Praline that already has a dog in it, as her confidence sky rockets when she has a dog friend to help guide her. When you adopt a dog from Swamp Haven, you’re not just saving a life. You’re beginning a journey filled with love, loyalty and trust. Life can be busy and stressful. The companionship of a dog is a constant reminder to slow down and enjoy the little things. At Swamp Haven, our mission isn’t to just help down-on-their-luck dogs find their forever homes. Our mission is to create a lasting relationship with you and your family.
Adopt happiness. Our adoption process is unique in that we work with you every step of the way to ensure that we’re placing the right dog with the right family. First, chat with us about what you’re looking for in a dog and we will set up a time for you to meet the lucky pup. From there, fill out an application. Once reviewed we set up a time to bring your potential pup to your house for a home visit and trial week. We want to make sure it’s the right fit for both your family and the dog involved. We will be totally available during the trial week for any questions or concerns. The last step is to finalize the adoption. And then congrats, you’re a new member of the Swamp Haven family and your happy tail has just begun!

Swamp Haven is an animal rescue organization that takes down-on-their-luck dogs and nurtures them back to a healthy mental and physical state, so they can find their forever home. Our goal is simple. We save innocent dogs that have been overlooked by society and provide short-term care including vetting (vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip and heartworm and flea prevention) and training to learn how to walk politely on a leash, play in a pack and live calmly and lovingly in their new home.
