Meet Laskey, a resourceful and independent cat who showed up as a stray and decided to stay. Laskey enjoys both indoor and outdoor life. He’s a skilled mouser, making him an excellent companion for those with outdoor spaces.

Laskey has a bit of a strong personality—he'll give you a gentle nip when he's had enough attention, but don’t worry, he doesn’t break the skin. Because of this, he’s not the best fit for homes with small children, but he can thrive in a household with adults or older kids who understand his boundaries.

Laskey is versatile and can adapt to being an indoor-only cat or continue his indoor/outdoor lifestyle. He’s looking for a forever home where he can be himself, a bit of a free spirit with a heart of gold. If you’re looking for a cat with character, Laskey might just be the perfect fit for you!

Our 9LCR cats are not routinely tested for FIV and FeLV for various reasons, one being to keep the costs and hence the adoption fee affordable. This decision is based on studies that have found that only about 4% of cats are actually infected. The funds for testing are better utilized for our spay and neuter efforts of owned and community cats in order to save the most cats. However, testing can be performed upon request and need to be covered by the person interested in adopting.

We started 9 Lives Cat Rescue to find homes for cats that are homeless or need to be relocated.
We are a no-kill, non-profit group. Our cats live in foster homes until they are adopted. We spay & neuter every cat before they are adopted.
We fully support our local no-kill feral cat group who practices TNR (Trap, Neuter & Return).
