My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey everyone, our names are Anne (F), Alice (F), Abby (F), and Alvin (M). We came into foster care around 08/10/2024. Two weeks before we came into foster care, our sibling was brave and went to a house near where we were dumped.

The family with our sibling just knew there had to be more. So, they looked and looked. During this time, the weather was scorching. The area they were searching in was railroad tracks. After searching for two weeks, one day during their search, they heard a pitiful cry. We were huddled below the tracks in the trestle. So scared and ever so hungry.

That was then. Today, we are in foster care and flourishing. We are healthy, fixed and ready to come home to you. I have heard of families who want me furever.

I, Alvin, am in a wonderful home and get to play with my foster mom's dogs. There are dogs of all sizes here. We (Anne, Alice, Abby, and myself) have grown like a weed. We are so happy. The horrible beginning to our lives is but a fading memory.

Please email my rescue requesting an application: alittlelonger2home@gmail.com. I am ready to start my journey home.

More about this rescue

My name is Carla Carlton. We (my husband and I) are retired militay. He served in the Air Force for 25 years. We have always done comunity service. So, when we got ready to retire, we found a place we wanted to live and bought a home. Well, the town we lived in has/had a high kill shelter. This broke our hearts.
Around this same time, I met a lady who fostered for Friends of Homeless Animals, RI. One day I got a call from FOHA there was a poodle in our shelter and he was on the short list. I went and pulled him. Roie (FOHA), helped set me up to foster and list our orphans to adopt with families who really wanted them. I am not sure how long ago it was, 16-18 years, I think. The rest is history. Through them and Mountain Pet Rescue, CO (and a few others in CO, UT, IA, IL, OR, CA, MS...), we have placed over 2500 dogs/ puppies and cats.
