My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Oh hi there, my name is Quinton. Modest and reserved, at first you might think I donandamp;#39;t want to go home with you - just give me some time and youandamp;#39;ll see that I REALLY DO! I would love to share your calm and quiet life and look forward to building my confidence in my new life with you. Once Iandamp;#39;m comfortable with you, Iandamp;#39;ll be ready to explore and have a little more excitement SLOWLY added to my life. Itandamp;#39;s a slow crawl at first, but then youandamp;#39;ll start to see my personality blossom! I hope thereandamp;#39;s lots of treats and play time in store for me when Iandamp;#39;m ready. Now donandamp;#39;t be shy, come say hi!andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;To ensure that Quinton and the children in your life are both safe and comfortable, Quinton is eligible to go home with children eight and older, and he will need to meet everyone living in the home.

Additional adoption info

Hours:
Monday - Tuesday (by appointment only) | 11 am - 6 pm
Wednesday - Friday | 12 pm - 7 pm
Saturday - Sunday | 11am - 7pm

Please note that we operate by first come, first serve along with adoption approval. Wait times may vary depending on the time of week and day.

We are reserving Mondays and Tuesdays for appointments for members of the public who are immunocompromised or are still uncomfortable being in large crowds due to COVID-19.

If you have any questions about our adoptable pets, please call (913) 831-7722 or email adoptions@greatplainsspca.org. Our expert matchmakers look forward to finding you the perfect furry family member!

Adoption Requirements:
- Adopter must be 18 years of age or older.
- Adopters must complete a survey and present photo identification to meet any of our animals.
- For the safety and health of our animals, we do not ship pets.
- Pet adoption fees range from $60 to $350. Our adoption fees help to offset the cost of evaluation, housing, feeding and medical care for the thousands of animals needing our help. We do our best to keep our adoption prices reasonable while generating income to support our goal of caring for animals available for adoption until we can place them in a loving home. The adoption fee for each animal varies and is dependent on many factors including: age, size, behavior, medical condition, and public demand.
