I'm a handsome Husky around 14 years old, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and microchipped. When I first arrived, I was so shut down that I slept for three days straight. It was clear that the trauma from being abandoned hit me hard—I barely ate and was just skin and bones. But over time, I slowly started to come out of my shell. After two and a half weeks, I've become a true member of the family, and I'm slowly gaining weight and looking much healthier.
At first, it seemed like I was ignoring everything around me, but my human realized that I'm mostly deaf. I can only hear very loud noises, so I like to stay close and be a bit of a shadow. I'm pretty smart, though, and I've learned to understand basic hand signs and commands. I'm usually quiet, but like most Huskies, I can get vocal when the mood strikes.
I'm housebroken, non-destructive, and have very little prey drive. I'm also good with cats, very affectionate, and I love being petted and cuddled. For my age, I'm still pretty active and enjoy going on long walks. I'm great on a leash with only minimal pulling, and I get along well with other dogs. However, I wouldn't be the best match for small children since I'm sometimes a bit unsteady on my legs and could get hurt around them. I think as I continue to gain weight, I'll become more stable.
Overall, I'm in good health and would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loyal and loving friend.

More about this rescue
We started this small rescue in rememberance that rescue work is strictly about the dogs. We do our best to help save as many dogs as we can with our limited resourses.
We can always use volunteers and Foster homes to help us accommplish this task. Any donations would be greatly appreciated as well from $5 to $500 and they all go to helping more dogs.
