Meet the James St. Litter! Harry J, Della J, Ella J, Leona J, Moxie J, Vickie J, and Tori J. Everyone of them a sweet adorable cuddly puppy!!
These babies were abandoned in a backyard in the terrible Texas heat with no food or water before being rescued. Thank goodness none are showing any health issues and all have healthy appetites.
The pups are working house training and do well crated together. This litter had a whole community caring for them prior to being placed in foster homes, so they all have social personalities.
Leona is a mild mannered girl!!
She is fostered with her sister Moxie and will watch and Moxie play with the other fosters in the home and sometimes will join. She seems content just watching too. Like her sister she does like to RUN, RUN, RUN, and then NAP, NAP, NAP... She likes to take her nap in your lap if you let her.
She would be great as an only dog as long as she still get exercise and socialization. If you can give her some doggie daycare time or a playmate a few days a week she would love that.
Her new family will also need to continue teaching her all the basic skills and work on leash training. She does well in a crate, that will keep her safe if she needs to be left for a few hours. Keeping her socialized will help her grow up to be her best doggie self!!

PAWS is comprised of a small group of volunteers from New England and Tennessee trying to reduce the euthanization rate (previously 90%) at the Tipton County Animal Control shelter in Brighton, Tennessee. This shelter is forced to euthanize thousands of animals each year due to irresponsible pet owners that do not spay/ neuter their dogs in the area. Millions of dogs in America are euthanized each year due to lack of space and lack of funding to try and find them better homes.
Our mission is to save as many animals as possible, removing them from the shelter, having their veterinary needs met prior to traveling and then finding them loving homes throughout New England. We do this only with the assistance of many people volunteering their time by going to the shelter, transporting the dogs to the vet, fostering dogs who need special care, and arranging for their new and happy homes in this area. Most importantly, we cannot do any of this without those people willing to open their homes and hearts to these lovely creatures.
