My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Smudge was born in the shelter on May 1, 2024 along with his 4 littermates. He is all black with just a small white patch on his tummy. Smudge is definitely one of the friendliest of the kittens, always the first to greet visitors. He seeks attention and will climb on your lap right away. Smudge is a silly kitty who likes tummy rubs, going upside-down, racing through the kitty tunnel, and hiding in boxes. He is litter trained and always announces his visits to the litterbox! Smudge is currently in foster care, so please contact the shelter to arrange a meet-and-greet with this happy kitten!

If you are interested in an animal you’ve seen on our website, you can call 519-833-2287 or send an email to learn more about them. You can also stop by the shelter to meet the animal in person. It may take a few visits to find the animal that is a perfect match for you.

You can stop by the shelter Monday through Sunday from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm.

You may wish to call the shelter before visiting to confirm the location and availability of the animal you would like to meet. The UCHS staff can let you know if the animal is currently at the shelter or at one of our remote locations, such as a foster home, local pet supply store or our Thrift Shop.
