Hello, my name is Sara which is of Hebrew origin and means ‘princess'; that is my goal, to be your little princess. I came from an over-crowded shelter in Alabama so I am a pretty southern belle. I am a somewhat active girl but I am not crazy high-octane; everything in moderation is my motto. Everything, that is, except lovin'; I am a very affectionate lass. It has been a blast to participate in the playgroups with a group of rowdy pups. I like to assess the situation for a few minutes and get the lay of the land before I engage in play, but then I jump right in. I can be a bit vocal when I play with my mates and am confident; I also know how to properly correct another pooch if they are being rude. I do like to keep my brain busy, so it would be lovely if we could take some classes together. I know the cue for ‘sit' and think it would be wonderful to learn more human words and perhaps new skills. I would be game for anything we could do together like agility, nose work, dog parkour, rally or tricks training. I hope we can take a nice long walk each day to explore this fabulous world as BFFs; it would be a great way to bond. I believe I am the perfect size for almost any family and maybe even the perfect size for your lap. I hope you are looking for a little princess and stop by to make my acquaintance; I think you will be enamored by my charm.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Visit the shelter. We have an application that takes about 15 minutes to fill out once you have found a pet you like. You call back the next day which gives us time to review the application and gives you 24 hours to think about your decision to adopt. You can also complete our on-line application and get approved in advance of finding the perfect companion. Once approved, you are able to adopt an animal the same day.
