My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Yumi is a 6-month-old Labrador mix with a heart full of love and a zest for life! This exceptionally sweet and social girl adores meeting new people and spreading joy wherever she goes. Whether it’s hiking scenic trails, splashing in the waves at the beach, or just romping around outdoors, Yumi is always ready for her next adventure.

As a young and active pup, Yumi thrives on daily exercise and enrichment to keep her body and mind happy. While her boundless enthusiasm can sometimes lead to a bit of over-excitement, she’s eager to learn and would benefit greatly from continued positive reinforcement training.

Yumi is searching for a loving, active family who will embrace her playful energy and help her grow into the best version of herself. If you’re looking for a loyal and lively companion to join your adventures, come meet Yumi—she might just be your perfect match!

More about this shelter

Founded in 1868, The SF SPCA is a community-supported nonprofit dedicated to saving, protecting and caring for cats and dogs. We do this through immediate care of animals that are homeless, ill or in need of an advocate, but we also work to educate the community, reduce the number of unwanted kittens and puppies through spaying/neutering, and improve the quality of life for animals and their companions.
