Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Chickadee, the 6-month-old Great Pyrenees mix who’s been practicing her "forever family audition" for way too long. She and her eight siblings entered our program in April after their owner could no longer care for them. When Chickadee first came to us, she was very malnourished and in need of some TLC, but she's come a long way since then. Now, she's a 45-pound ball of fluff with the gentleness of a summer breeze and the enthusiasm of a puppy discovering a new squeaky toy. She is the only one left from her litter and has not received a single drop of interest in the 5 months she has been with us. Chickadee might not be a circus performer or a boundary-defying daredevil, but she excels in the fine art of being utterly charming.
This girl is the epitome of calm and collected, a real pro at car rides where she sits up and gazes out the window as if she’s on a VIP tour of the neighborhood. She’s got the leash-walking down to a science, and if you’re wondering about her manners, rest assured she’s been schooled in the art of politeness. Chickadee is so well-behaved that she could give etiquette lessons, though she might reserve her most critical opinions for the occasional toy she deems worthy of a bit of possessiveness (a quick "enh-enh" and she’s back to her perfect self).
Chickadee is the kind of dog who’s perfectly content with a chill home life, but she’s also game for public outings, be it a stroll through the park or a social visit. She’s great with other dogs, adores kids, and treats cats like they’re just fellow royal subjects in her kingdom. She’s not a digger, a jumper, or a chewer of things she shouldn’t be. In fact, she’s a model tenant who knows how to use a doggie door and behaves like a seasoned pro when it comes to crate training. And let’s talk potty skills—Chickadee is a potty-training prodigy. She’s got it all figured out, and you won’t need to worry about any accidents with this girl around. She’s been ace at keeping her crate clean and is ready to take her impeccable potty manners to your home.
Now, if you’re looking for a dog who’s ready to settle in and be a loving companion, Chickadee is your gal. She’s calm, well-mannered, and has mastered the art of occasional zoomies. If you’re in need of a buddy for quiet evenings, playful afternoons, or just someone to snuggle with on the couch, Chickadee is ready to be your new best friend. She’s patiently waiting for the right family to come along and scoop her up, so if you’re ready for a loyal, loving, and utterly charming companion, Chickadee is your girl.
