Affectionate, smart and playful! Mitch is a sturdy 52 lbs… shiny, thick, short black coat with reddish overtones. He has a white blaze on his chest, white toes in the back and small white markings on the back of his front feet. Mitch is a handsome boy! And he knows it – what a proud strut!
He’s very alert to his environment and attentive to his person. SIT, LOOK AT ME, GIVE and WAIT are already in his repertoire. Working on walking on leash without pulling so much. He is housetrained and does extremely well in a 48” crate. He was crated for car rides but did well. He would enjoy joining his owner for all types of adventures.
The shelter said he was friendly and played well in play groups with both male and female dogs. Reactivity to cats has not been tested.
With a regular routine, this intelligent, observant dog has shown himself to be adaptable and willing to try to fit into the household. Energetic, so a fenced yard is highly recommended.
With TLC, the foster believes he will bond with his human and become a loving, loyal, lifelong companion. Because of his size and energy level, a home with small children is not recommended.
Mitch is neutered and microchipped. He is also up to date on vaccines, heartworm preventative, and flea preventative.
Adoption Fee: $300
