My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Spirit

**2-Year-Old Hanoverian/ Quarter Horse Cross**

- **Age**: 2 years old

- **Breed**: Hanoverian, Quarter Horse Cross

- **Gender**: Colt/Gelding

- **Height**: 14hh

**About Him**:

This stunning 2-year-old  has a fascinating background, having come off an Indian reservation as a wild horse. Despite his untamed beginnings, he has shown incredible potential and adaptability. He has undergone a month of groundwork training, along with additional training here on the farm, and he’s already making great strides. He’s a beautiful dun horse with striking coloration and a curious, engaging personality. This young horse tries hard in everything he does, and with some growing still ahead of him, the sky's the limit for his future.

**Special Notes**:

Though he started life as a wild horse, this colt has a bright and promising future. His curiosity and willingness to learn are evident, and he is steadily gaining confidence and trust. He’s still young and has some growing to do, so his new owner should be prepared to continue his training and provide the time and patience needed to help him reach his full potential.

**Ideal Home**:

This young horse would thrive in a home with an experienced handler or trainer who can continue his education and help him develop into a well-rounded, confident adult horse. His ideal home would be one where he can receive consistent handling and training, along with plenty of time to grow and mature. Someone who appreciates his wild roots and understands the patience required to bring out the best in him will find a loyal and eager companion in this colt.

**Why Adopt**:

Adopting this Hanoverian/Quarter Horse cross is an opportunity to shape the future of a young, willing horse who is just beginning his journey. With his striking dun coloration and curious nature, he’s not only a beautiful addition to any herd but also a horse with incredible potential. His history as a wild horse adds to his unique charm, and with the right guidance, he could develop into an exceptional partner for riding, working, or simply as a beloved companion.

Additional adoption info

Please allow up to 72 hours for a response.

Adopting one of our dogs requires that you fill out an adoption application, have your references checked, and let us visit your home.

The required minimum adoption donation is $250. That amount covers the spay/neuter, annual vaccinations, heartworm testing, and one month of heart worm preventative.

We spend about $300.00 just to treat the pommies that are heartworm positive. We have invested more than $1000.00 in several of our pommies--treating them and kenneling them. Kenneling cost $16 a day per dog. We need foster homes!
