Meet SJ, a 1-year-old pocket pittie with a heart full of love to give!

This sweet boy is happiest in the company of his humans whether he's going along on carrides, hanging out with his kid foster siblings and their friends, or his favorite thing to do, snuggling up on the couch in a comfy blanket with his foster momma (who boasts what a great cuddler he is!). SJ just wants to be with his people and will make a fantastic companion for the family that is lucky enough to adopt him.

SJ's ideal day includes some time to romp around the yard or a walk around the block (he's good on the leash, btw), followed by some sunbathing, and lots of nap time on the couch. A big fan of dog toys, he enjoys pretty much anything he can get his paws on... ropes, bones, squeaky toys, he isn't picky!

SJ is a true social butterfly—he adores people of all she's, gets along famously with other pups, and even has a soft spot for kitties.

SJ is crate trained and currently working on basic obedience training. While he's a young adult pup, this is a great boy who is a good listener, is eager to learn and just truly wants to please his people. This pup is an affectionate, kind hearted boy who wants to be your new best friend and constant companion.

An application, agreement, personal reference check, vet reference check and home visit are required.

Adoption fees are below. All of our animals are microchipped, up to date on vaccines and fully vetted.

Puppies under 1 year : $495
Adults 1-9 years: $375
Adults 9+ years: $300
Special Needs Animals: dependant on specific animal and his or her needs

ADDITIONAL DEPOSIT of $125 for spay/ neuter for all unaltered dogs unless the spay/neuter

We are located at 46 Sodom Road, Brewster, NY. You can come stop by 7 days a week from 11am-4pm. While we have 15-18 dogs housed at our adoption center, the majority of our dogs are located in private foster homes.

SNARR Northeast Animal Rescue's mission is "Giving Hope to the Hopeless.” SNARR stands for Special Needs Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation. We do focus on animals with special needs but we also rescue perfectly healthy dogs as well! SNARR works with municipal shelters all over the country to save animals at risk for being euthanized. Our dogs (and cats) are all in foster homes prior to being adopted.
