Dahlia is a beautiful 3-year old female Bobtail/Calico kitty who was brought to the HSOV on June 2, 2024 along with her male companion (Zodiac). Unfortunately the individual(s) who entrusted them to our care did not provide any information about Dahlia and Zodiac.
Dahlia has a white/black/orange short smooth coat in a calico pattern, a tiny bobtail, and an adorable face with golden eyes, a pink nose, and long white whiskers.
This little sweetheart was (sigh) pregnant when she entered our shelter, and she gave birth to two kittens on June 19th.
Dahlia was given vaccinations, wormer, and flea treatment on June 6, 2024. She was given booster vaccines on July 18th.
Dahlia was combo tested on July 26, 2024 and is negative for feline leukemia, FIV, and heartworm.
Dahlia has an affectionate, outgoing 'Type A' personality. She is also a good 'conversationalist' and loves to talk (smile).
Dahlia was a terrific mother to her two kittens (Moon Pie and Zebra Cake). Dahlia (and our amazing HSOV kennel techs) raised two happy socialized youngsters under less-than-ideal conditions in a small shelter cage. The kittens are now fully weaned and have been separated from their mother. Dahlia has been moved the The Jungle Room (one of our adoptable cat rooms). Her kittens will be introduced with their 'big girl' photos in the near future.
Dahlia will be spayed before being adopted by her new family (a requirement for HSOV adoptions to be finalized). She will soon be ready to find a fabulous home either through adoption or rescue.
Rescue groups may contact our HSOV Feline Rescue Coordinator via email. We can usually help with transportation.
Note: Dahlia's male companion (Zodiac) was neutered on July 23, 2024. Zodiac was adopted on July 24th.
