Rowdy is a 5.5 month old (as of 9/1) puppy that weighs 26 lbs and is the best little guy ever.
Rowdy was found along the Texas/Mexico border, laying by the road in utter defeat. He had no other dogs with him, no collar, and you could just see the confusion in his eyes. A good Samaritan saw him and took him in, thinking maybe he was just lost. Weeks passed by, and nobody claimed him.
We believe he will be around 40 lbs full grown and is some sort of shep/husky maybe some corgi mix? He definitely will not be a larger dog based on his growth pattern so far.
This boy has done a complete 180 from when he was found – Now he is the happiest, goofiest boy you’ll meet.
His ears are SO adorable – he hasn’t grown into them yet and they just flop all over. When he hears something that interests him, they stand straight up and as soon as he turns his attention elsewhere, they flop all over the place, not sure where to go!
Rowdy is a higher energy puppy as he loves to run around the yard and play, play, play. Another dog in the home would be beneficial for Rowdy as it would help get his puppy energy out. He LOVES other dogs. If there is no other dog in the home, please be prepared for lots of stimulation and exercise as he is a growing puppy.
Is he still learning the leash as he has a large yard to run and play in currently, but with consistency will be completely used to the leash in no time.
Rowdy is very smart and is at the perfect age where he’s eager to learn and please his humans. He loves being around people and loves to be right next to you if he’s not playing in the yard.
Rowdy would do great with children as he is SOOO friendly, but he can jump sometimes (which he can be trained not to do), so please just be aware for younger children he is still just a puppy learning new things.
He is crate trained.
Rowdy LOVES the water and would love to take adventures to the lake, ocean, or any body of water he can jump in and play in. It would be like a kid in a candy store for Rowdy.
This boy is intelligent, loyal, fun, energetic, friendly, sweet, and all around a wonderful boy who needs a home that is more active and looking for a dog that wants to go on runs, adventures, and explore the world. With some proper training and consistency, Rowdy will be the bestest boy you’ll ever have in your family.
Rowdy is neutered, current on vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, dewormed, and microchipped.
