Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Miguel a.k.a. Migo!
Miguel hitched a ride from Kuwait with a pal so he could find his perfect family in the states. He even has his own kitty passport. Miguel is the sweetest and most playful boy you will ever meet.
Miguel is estimated to be a 1-2 year old, Arabian Mau-Oriental Shorthair mix which gives him his shiny low-maintenance coat, athletic body, and long, bunny legs. He has beautiful golden eyes, the most adorable protruding front fangs, and the softest belly that he will let you rub all day.
Miguel was a former Kuwaiti street cat who was much too friendly for his outside colony and would try to follow his caretakers everywhere they went. He was brought inside for his own safety and quickly became a favorite of his former foster family who vowed to find him the best home.
Miguel is an intelligent, vocal, and playful young gentleman, who loves to climb and explore. Despite his curious nature, he is not mischievous and is very careful not to knock things over during his adventures. Miguel loves to carry around his favorite toy and hide it in new locations for a playful challenge. He would do best with a similarly high energy and playful cat friend who is okay with occasional rough play.
Miguel will need time to warm up to other cats (he is only a mere kitten, after all) but will be in your lap on day one purring away for pets. He loves to be around his humans and will give you repeated head butts daily to show his appreciation. He will wake you up with kisses and purrs every day, if you will let him. He knows no boundaries with his love, and has never once hissed, scratched, or bit his human friends (even that scary vet!) Hopefully you aren’t the jealous type, because he will also want to show some love to every visitor… you’ll still be his favorite though.
Miguel is a litter box pro, eats and drinks like a champ, and will very much appreciate an occasional churu as a token of your appreciation for his excellent behavior.
Is Miguel the perfect cat for you? Silly question… of course he is!
Miguel's estimated birthdate is July 2023. He is neutered, current on vaccines, tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV, and has been microchipped.

At the adoption fairs, if you meet a kitten or cat that you want to adopt, you will be asked to complete an application and contract and leave a check for the adoption fee ($120 for an adult or $145 for un-neutered kitten of which $50 is a deposit that is refunded after you provide 4Paws proof of sterilization). We ask that you pay the adoption fee up front at the fairs in order to “put a hold” on the cat until your application is processed. If your application is not approved, your check is returned to you.
Neither cats nor kittens are sent to their new homes on the day of the fair. It usually takes 4-5 days to process the application before the cat can go to his or her adoptive home. Pre-approval is an option, though. To accelerate the adoption process, you can fax a completed application and contract to us at 703-560-9795 a few days before the fair. Adoption Applications are available on this website.

Adoption fairs are held once or twice a month at various PETCO stores in Northern Virginia. The adoption fairs are usually held on Saturday’s from 1:00 to 5:00. Between 30 and 60 cats and kittens are shown for adoption at each fair—with the larger fairs generally occurring April through October.
While they are waiting to find permanent loving homes, our cats temporarily live in foster homes. The foster families bring the cats and kittens to the adoption fairs to be seen by potential adopters. Applicants have the opportunity to handle the cats and in some cases, meet the foster parents who can provide additional insight into a cat’s habits and personality.
