My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Maxie.   I am a very small good looking Dachshund/Terrier about 5 years old, and 13 pounds.

I do get along with other dogs my size.

Max is energetic and curious.  He loves to be with people and play ball.

Max says: I love being held and hugged.  My favorite activity, besides gutting squeaker toys, is to sit next to my person, chew on my Himalayan cheese stick and be petted for hours on end.

I am very smart and love learning new things. I am a really good eater and will be easy to teach more manners and tricks because of this.

I love to go on walks, but I find the great outdoors scary.  I bark at other dogs and people until I get to know them.

I’d prefer a quiet home with a mommy or daddy and no children who will really love me.  I’d really like to be the only dog but could live with a sibling if they agree that I will rule the roost.

I’ll need to warm up a bit and learn you are trustworthy.  If you are, I will love you with all my heart and be the best boy ever if you give me a chance!

Love, Maxie
