My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ginger is looking for love in his golden years! Ginger was living in a quiet home until his owner passed away and his world was turned upside down when he found himself at a shelter. Our dedicated team helped Ginger mourn the loss of his dad and trust new people. This gorgeous 15-year-old, long-coat ginger cat purrs when pet, but will let you know when he's over the attention. He is looking for companionship and a patient human that will help him adjust to a new home.

Any future medical care that Ginger needs will be provided by Abandoned Pet Rescue thanks to the Medical Adoption Program. To adopt or foster Ginger, please complete an application at AbandonedPetRescue.org.To meet this adoptable pet, please fill out an adoption application at www.abandonedpetrescue.org and a team member will contact you to schedule an appointment.

More about this shelter

Abandoned Pet Rescue (APR) is one of the largest no-kill animal shelters in South Florida with the mission of rescuing and sheltering abandoned and abused cats and dogs with the goal of finding them new homes. APR's adoption center has about 150 cats and 30 dogs, all of which receive nutritious meals, veterinary care, enrichment and love.

APR, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was founded in 1996 by a group of volunteers who were trapping, spaying and neutering feral cats and quickly realized the greater need to help abandoned pets and advocate for a no-kill community. APR is funded solely by generous donors and grants.
