My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Marilyn is a really cool girl. She is beautiful, sure, but she is also smart, athletic and so friendly and sweet. Not sure how she ended up unclaimed, for two months, at animal control but we were happy we could bring her to the rescue.
Marilyn is house trained, crate trained and gets along great with other dogs. Our pretty bi-eyed girl is built like a race dog and has some energy so she'd do great with an active home. Our guess is that she'd probably be a dyno in harness so perhaps a sled dog home would be ideal? Or a great jogging partner. she's just a doll!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

To begin our adoption process you must fill out an application on our website. Once entered it will be reviewed, your references will be contacted and it will be assigned to a volunteer to do a home visit. Our volunteer will arrange a day and time that will be convenient for your family. They will write a report based on the meeting and submit it to our Adoption Committee where a decision will be made. Our fees currently are $195 for younger dogs (7 months - 5 years), $150 (for senior dogs (6 years and older) and $300 for puppies (6 months and younger), All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative and microchipped.

More about this rescue

We are a non-profit 501(c)3 organization devoted to rehoming abandoned, abused, stray and neglected purebred Siberian Huskies through a network of foster homes. We evolved from a small group of caring individuals in September 1998 and have expanded to encompass multiple states. We are an all volunteer organization with no paid employees. We rescue Siberian Huskies from various shelters and foster them until we can find them a loving forever home. Because we do not own a building we are always looking for foster homes to save even more dogs since we constantly have a waiting list of dogs to come into our rescue. No dog is ever turned away because of medical needs so we can spend thousands of dollars on a dog to get them ready for adoption because they were heartworm positive, hit by a car, set on fire, shot at, had internal damage and the list goes on. We have saved over 1400 Siberian Huskies since we started.
