My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Pearl, a very spry senior! And I do mean spry! Races to the drive gate with her foster siblings to bark at nothing, or maybe the occasional dog walker or jogger
Very affectionate, loves to be around her person. Will cuddle for a while then wants down - has an independent streak. Sleeps in her bed next to mine all night. House trained, uses the doggie door when she needs to.
She was not in a very good condition when she first came to CAMO. But now, she has a thick, glossy, wavy, very soft coat - her fur is a soft gray with light and dark highlights. She has very sweet breath, and meat on her bones - she was a scrawny bag of bones!. Poor baby had to have one eye removed. She had lots of mats all over her body and one very solid and stiff one over her left eye. It took several days to remove it slowly with warm water. Underneath her eye was a gelatinous mess and had to be removed. She has no problem getting around as she was used to not being able to see out of that eye.
She now needs a loving home of her own to live out her days in peace and love. She gets on great with her foster siblings and children over the age of six. She would be fine as an only dog. Living in an apartment would be ok as she's not a great barker.
Please open your heart and give this fine lady a loving home.

More about this rescue

CAMO Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers life, health, and a forever home. We specialize in dogs that other rescues can’t or won’t take due to fearful nature or medical needs. We primarily rescue ‘euthanasia listed’ animals that are in immediate danger of death. We provide shots, spay/neuter, microchip, foster homes, food, medical treatment and love to dogs that are abandoned, unwanted or otherwise in need. We never euthanize an animal to make room for another. In addition to caring for our dogs and finding the best possible home for them, we provide education to the community; encouraging and promoting responsible pet ownership. If needed, our rescue dogs are retrained to socialize in an adoptive loving family. We have had phenomenal success, and amazing support from our community. We believe that animals, as living creatures are entitled to a quality life, respect and compassion. Since humans have domesticated animals, we have a moral and ethical responsibility to care for them. We are partnered with many Shelters to help them reach the same goal.
