My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jamie was born around Jun 25, 2024. She, along with her litter mates, was living among granite boulders in west Prescott and was trapped at about 6 weeks of age. Jamie is a short-haired black-and-white (tuxedo) with a cute white stripe in the middle of her face. Jamie is a bit more shy and skittish than her litter mates, so is usually the last one to check out a new area or thing. But as she relaxes and feels more confident she is out running and playing just as enthusiastically as the rest of them. Jamie really enjoys being petted and is very quick to start purring (and loudly!) - she often will start purring just in anticipation. She is very good using a litter box. Jamie was raised in a foster home that included an adult dog and cat. If interested is this lovely little girl, please inquire through this site or cattyshackrescue.org.
Yavapai County residents only please.
If you were born 1955 or before, please do not apply for a kitten

More about this rescue

We are a 501(c)(3) non profit group of unpaid volunteers who have come together to rescue cats from the street. Our group rescues cats already in trouble through abandonment. We saw a need in our community for cats on the street with no advocates to be helped through sheltering, spay/neuter and placement in homes of their own.
