My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Anny is a tricolor purebred Dachshund who was released to NorthStar Pet Rescue by her owner who was a breeder. She had her last litter of pups on June 26th - all of her pups have been placed in loving homes. Now the hope is that Anny, who has a quirky personality, can also find a permanent placement.

Anny makes friends on her own terms. When she sees people, she often runs and hides. Although she is not overly affectionate at first, once she knows and accepts you then she will show you her love. She is looking for an adults-only home and will not be placed in a home with children. Anny was born on 12/10/2019 and weighs 14.5 pounds.

In a very very small number of situations, a home check may be needed if we have any questions or concerns after processing the application.

A meet and greet will be arranged for approved applicants with you and your entire family including your current pets.

Adult Dog: 375.00
Senior Dog: 200.00
Puppy: 375.00 + 100.00 refundable spay/neuter deposit

In many areas of the country, especially in the South, the situation for animals is desperate: Chained outside and starving, homeless and running loose, or just simply no longer wanted and abandoned in an overburdened and underfunded facility that can’t possibly take another. NorthStar Pet Rescue was founded in 2017, and although we might be a relatively new name among New Jersey animal rescues, you may recognize some of us from the work we’ve done volunteering with other rescues to help animals over the past decade. We are 100% dedicated to operating in an safe, transparent, and ethical manner and to ensuring the best veterinary practices are followed with regards to the care and transport of our animals.
