AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION - ELLIE
BREED - Wirehaired Terrier
SIZE - About 15 pounds
AGE - 2 years
GENDER - Female
MEDICAL CONCERNS - None known
BEHAVIOR CONCERNS - None known
SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS - Ellie is a precious little girl who came to us recently from a central NC shelter with a horrible flea infestation causing skin infections and subsequent yeast issues! She was in such pain and distress that she did not want to eat or even move. We have worked hard with our vet to provide the appropriate medications, baths and TLC to bring Ellie back to health and happiness. She now gobbles her food and seeks lots of love and attention from her caregivers. Her skin is beautiful, the hair has grown back in, and we are grateful to have had the opportunity to help her regain her health. Ellie is a happy gal who loves everyone she meets. She is affectionate, quiet and gentle. We believe she would make a great companion and fit in perfectly with a home that is both quiet and predictable. Fully grown at just 15 pounds, she is a perfect size for most homes! Ellie is in good health, spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. We are seeking a home with an adopter who has the ability to work from home or be at home the majority of the day to spend time with this little gal. A home without larger pets, small children and with a fenced, secure yard will give her room to exercise and play safely.
Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Adopt a Pet inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of Ellie and our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and your family to meet Ellie at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting her and determining that she matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner. More information on our website at www.carerva.com.
