Meet Ella! Ella is a beautiful, redtick coonhound who is about 2 years old and weighs about 45 pounds. Ella ended up in a shelter in SW VA with a very broken back leg! Shelter staff got her to the vet but did not have the money in their budget to pay for an expensive surgery. Donations were made and we committed to taking Ella and paying the balance for her surgery!

Ella's leg has healed well and she is now ready to find her forever home! She's a happy, fun and active girl. She enjoys playing with the other dogs in her foster home and adores people. She loves kids and could chase them around the yard all day if you let her! Ella would enjoy a family who can give her lots of playtime, walkies and outdoor adventures. Ella is a very special girl and we know she'll make a very special addition to some lucky family! Will it be yours?

Augusta Dog Adoptions is a 501c3, foster-based rescue. We take applications online and schedule adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
