My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Biscotti is a small terrier/cattle dog mix that came into the rescue due to an inability to use one of his front paws. Turns out, he is all about the dramatics because as soon as he got a little anti-inflammatory he bounced right up on it! He is still in the process of healing and requires limited activity (but you try telling his little energetic self that!). He has been neutered and looking for a forever person that will play with him and then let him snuggle up with you!

He loves going on walks, playing outside, and playing tug-of-war. He is not the biggest fan of playing fetch. He is still being potty trained but we are also working on that. He is food-motivated and likes to play with cats. He also likes car rides! To have your home considered for adoption, read about our adoption process or fees, and find out about interstate transport (dogs only), please visit our website.

Long Way Home makes no guarantees on breed--most animals we receive from shelters are mixed breeds. As long as they need rescue, that's what is most important to us.

More about this rescue

Long Way Home was created to provide the last stop for animals displaced from their homes, deemed "unadoptable" by other rescues, or that need a level of care their previous owners or other shelters are unable or unwilling to provide.
