Sammy is a handsome and outgoing guy who came in as a stray a few weeks ago. He was found near Butler, but no one claimed him. He's settled in at the shelter, but starting to miss people - everyday when left alone he cries. He just LOVES love.
A few things we have learned about Sammy are that he's great with people, loves to play ball, get belly rubs and is all around a rolly polly cutie pie. He is just so so smart! He finished any puzzle toy we give him in record time! He's potty trained, great on the leash and loves hikes. He does need to be the only dog in the home He's super outgoing for his age and has many years left to live.
Here's what his foster has to say about him: " He is just the sweetest guy and get little post walk zoomies and is very into playing with toys and evidently destroying them but he is just the sweetest guy who is my little shadow"
Contact his foster by TEXT at (925) 477-0661 or (443) 301-2268 to meet him!
Adopting with High Country Humane means your new pet is fixed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. We register that microchip (FREE!) and provide a free health exam with each adoption. Please bring a leash and collar for your new pet or plan to purchase a set at the shelter for $5 each. The shelter is open 11-5 PM, 7 days a week. Sammy's adoption fee is $0 as it has been fully sponsored! as he's a staff favorite and longtimer - more than 30 days at the shelter. We hope to see you soon to meet Sammy!
