My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Rusty, and I am only 5 lbs., and I am a 2 year old Chihuahua. I still need to put on a little weight, as the Dr. said I am too skinny. I am good with other dogs and people. I am a little shy and take a little time to warm up to people. Once I do, I will follow you everywhere. My favorite spots are to watch my foster dad work during the day. After he gets off, I will climb up on him and either lay in his lap, on his shoulder or around his neck to keep him warm. At night, I like sleeping with my foster parents under the covers to keep them warm. Maybe, I like being warm more than them. I am housebroken and very smart as I learned the doggy door really quick. This way I can run outside and enjoy the sun when the door is open. I am altered and up to date on shots. If you would like to meet me, please call Teri at 630-897-7454. The adoption fee is $225. Additional adoption info

Adoption fees are $225 for dogs over 6 months and $250 for dogs 6 months and younger. This fee includes spay/neuter, rabies shot if dog is over 4 months old, parvo/distemper shots up to the time of adoption, fecal check, microchip, and all dogs are heartworm negative.

Rover Rescue is an all-breed dog rescue group located 40 miles west of Chicago in Aurora, IL. The dogs/puppies in our organization have been rescued from high-kill animal shelters located in Illinois and Indiana.
