My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Oh Mickey you are so fine! Mickey is our longest resident here at Happy Tails. He came to us positive for heartworm after being removed from a hoarding situation. He is a huge lover of people. He is usually our front fence greeter! He is around 70lbs and thinks he is 30. He has energy but settles down very nicely. The only issue Mickey has is the stray cat that torments him when he is outside. So due to their relationship we say cats are a no. He is dog friendly.

Additional adoption info

All pet adoptions require a completed adoption application. Our office staff and volunteers act as matchmakers to find animals good homes. Your responses on the adoption application help them make a good match. You can also take our Meet Your Match survey (see below), which matches adopters with pets.

Adopters must be 21 years of age and live within 200 miles of our shelter.

The adoption fee is designed to offset some of the expenses we incur in caring for each animal.

Dogs - $200
Puppies - $250 (6 months and younger)
Cats - $25 (seniors), $65 (adult cats)
Kittens - $80 (kittens 6 months and under)
