My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We are looking for a hospice foster or adopter for this little guy. Bam Bam's previous owner knew he had some medical issues but could not afford his care so she decided to turn him into the shelter. We ended up taking him and got him checked out right away. Our vet estimated that Bam Bam is about 14 to 15 years old. He does not hear well and is almost fully blind. Unfortunately, we also found out he has an enlarged heart and a collapsing trachea. He started on heart medications and is doing well on them. Our vet thinks he could make it another year or two with proper care. Since he can't see/hear well, he is stressed in new homes and it takes him some time to learn a new environment. We want him to find one final, stable home he can adjust to and live out the rest of his days. We would love for someone to spoil him for the remaining time he has left! Bam Bam is a small boy at only 5lbs. He loves sunbathing and exploring, but sometimes needs help finding his way back to the house. He cannot be left outside alone. Bam Bam lives for food and takes his meds easily with his meals. He is a sweet boy, never shown any aggression or tried to bite anyone. He gets along with other dogs and cats and actually likes having another dog he can follow around as his 'guide.' But, we don't think large or hyper dogs would be good for him since he is so small. If you can open your heart and home to help Bam Bam, please submit an application on our website at www.dominoeffectanimalrescue.orgOctober 22, 2024, 5:04 pm

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Go to our website to fill out an Adoption Application! We will review your app and, if your home is a good match for the pet, we well email you to set up a meeting with your family and current pets. If all goes well at the meeting, we offer a foster to adopt program where you can take home the pet you're interested in for up to two weeks to make sure he/she is a good fit for your home and is welcomed by your other current animals. We just ask that you leave the adoption fee as a deposit before taking your pet home. Any time within the two weeks, if you decide the pet is a perfect addition to your family, let us know and sign the Adoption Contract, we will hand over all vaccine paperwork, and the pet is yours! (If you decide the pet is not for you, the deposit will be returned in full)

Adoption Fees:
$400 for puppies (6mo or younger)
$350 for adult dogs
$250 for senior dogs (8+years)

$150 for kittens (6mo or younger)

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

Potential adopters must submit an application before setting up a private meeting with that specific animal. Once application is reviewed, we will email to make arrangements to set the date/time. We ask that the entire family and current pets are present. Meetings are held at the animals location or at your home. We also have adoption shows occasionally where you can come down and meet some of our adoptable pets. Please check our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/dominoeffectanimalrescue to find out when our next show will be!

More about this rescue

Domino Effect Animal Rescue is a 501c3 non profit, no kill animal rescue located in Temecula Valley, California dedicated to saving the lives of animals in county shelters. By taking in some of these homeless animals, we hope to ease the overcrowding in shelters which leads to euthanasia. We provide care and love to all animals that enter our rescue as they await their loving, forever homes. Each animal is spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and examined by a licensed veterinarian. Some animals require more medical care than the basics and we help them heal so that they can live healthy lives with their next family. We also work on basic obedience and socialization skills to help each pet develop desired behaviors for their future family.
