Hello! My name is Inspector Gadget, and I am 4 years old. I'm a sweet boy that loves affection and to cuddle. I'm a big guy. I weigh 9#s but I'm not chubby. Just big boned.
I was living in a home with my brother, and all was great in our kitty world until our Humans had to move. They moved out of state, and they couldn't take both of us. So, I got split up from my brother. My Owners gave me away to a friend and they kept my brother. I silently hope my brother is ok and I'm telling him I am ok.
The nice lady who took care of me didn't know I was a rescued cat: a Treasured Animal Rescue's Gem. She took care of me, fed me, loved me and made me feel safe. We played with my toys every morning and in my cat's way, I loved her by hanging out near her on a couch or on her lap.
My world changed again when my 2nd owner had to move, and the Landlord said no pets. Wouldn't it be nice if people who live in apartments pets are allowed? We don't take up much space nor ruin things. We just want to be loved & taken care of.
Now, I'm back in a foster home and my foster Mom is giving me all the comforts I had in my last home. I have my own room to explore and when I was ready to explore the rest of the house I adventured out to meet the other kitties that live here. I see so many comfy places to take a catnap. I have my kitty bed with a towel for my scent. I like it when my foster Mom and I have our quiet time. She comes in my room and sits with me. She talks to me. I'm talking to her in my quiet way and when I get comfy, I go to her for head butts. I like it when my ears and chin get scratched.
I like to be held and have my ears scratched. The quiet time with my foster Mom I really like as she tells me there's a family out there for me that is going to love my handsomeness. My fur is super soft, and my markings are unique. I have grey tabby markings on my head, and it looks like someone took a bowl to shape the markings. But trust me, my fur is in great shape - just unique! My other markings look like I have a mustache - just like the cartoon character Inspector Gadget!
Now that I'm somewhat settled in my foster home my foster Mom thinks I would do best with a mature family. Maybe no young kids and if they do visit, I can just go hang out in a room and just take a kitty nap. See, I like it when I see people come to pet me. I get nervous when my back is turned away from someone or I don't have my attention towards what's coming. I'm not mean or aggressive -I just get scared. My rescuers think when I was little, my first family had kids and maybe I got scared when I was a kitten and that has shied me away from being approached in a certain way. Now that my foster Mom has learned that she can approach me super easy, and she can teach you. In fact, there's days I get to go visit her mom and I like those days because I like visiting "mature" people. I'm just their speed and they are just my speed. It's the purr-fect fit!
So, are you looking for a unique, quiet boy that likes to be a couch potato? If so, that's me! My foster Mom says animal rescue is an adventure, and my rescue story sure does say adventure! So, I am ready for my next chapter in my life, and I hope it includes you!
Love,
Inspector Gadget
