Meet Sparky!

Sparky was part of the group of seniors that came to us several weeks ago after their human mom passed away and their human dad was forced to leave the family home - leaving no where for these poor babies to go. Since they technically would have been considered owner surrenders in a county with an extremely small shelter, they would have been euthanized immediately if a rescue didn’t step up to help them.

Sparky is about 12 years old with lots of life left to live! He’s obviously great with other dogs since he lived as part of a pack for most of his life, but he’s also adjusted quite nicely to being the King of the Castle in his foster home! He would love to join a quiet, dachshund loving home so that he can thoroughly enjoy his retirement!!
