Cherry Pie is a 1 year old Miniature Schnauzer x Lhasa Apso mix who is the perfect sweet treat for any family! Cherry was rescued from the shelter after her former home was no longer able to take care of her. We took her in and promised her an amazing next chapter. She grabbed it by the paws and away we went! Cherry Pie is absolutely adorable and has the perfect personality to boot. This All-American babe can’t wait to bring sweetness and love to her forever home!

Cherry Pie is a snuggly, loving gal who wants to make the world a happier place! She loves being a lap dog (and we aren’t going to tell her she’s a little too big for it). Once you win her heart, Cherry is yours forever. She will faithfully follow you around the world, whether on a walk or to your desk for the workday. Cherry is the perfect blend of playful and laid back. She’s the perfect family dog according to her foster parents. She loves getting the zoomies and playing with her toys when her people are ready to romp! Cherry has such a wonderful temperament and sometimes seems like she has a human soul inside of her. She is so easygoing and affectionate, adapting to any new situation that presents itself to her. Cherry lives her life to the fullest, looking for the next adventure (or treat). We know that the home that gets to bring a fresh Cherry Pie into it will never lack sweetness again!

Cherry Pie starts her morning with cuddles and snuggles before heading outside for her morning potty. Once the kids head to school, she hits the neighborhood with her canine foster siblings for a morning stroll. She comes inside for breakfast and then settles in for a nap. She spends her day lounging in the office, zooming around the backyard, playing in the house, and just generally being adorable. She gets another walk in the evening followed by dinner at 6 PM. After an evening of cuddles and playtime, Cherry Pie goes out for one last potty and then goes to bed.

Cherry Pie lives with two dogs and gets along with them both. She has a lot of young dog energy so she would thrive with a playmate. Cherry loves kids and adores getting pets on walks. Cherry is working on her leash walking skills. She is house trained, crate trained, and knows how to use a dog door. She is going to be such a fabulous dog for her lucky forever family. She will spend her life making sure you have so much joy and laughter in it.

Cherry Pie is an option for homes with prior dog owning experience. Kids in the home should be over the age of 8.

More about this rescue

We are passionate folks who love dogs and love people! We strive to make the most appropriate match between human and canine. Because our dogs live in foster homes we know about their temperament and personality and therefore can help families and individuals decide if the dog is a good match or not. We are excited to help people find the right pooch for them and look forward to meeting great folks and welcoming them into the DPS Family.
